~~Some New~Old Finds~~

While helping Tim's mom move and get ready for her Public Sale, I decided go into the barn and see what 'treasures' there might have been in there..well, let me tell you I saw a lot of things that I would love to have but after spending the whole summer helping my mother in law sort through 50plus years of 'treasures',..I have been coming home and sorting through my 'treasures'..so not only is she downsizing, so am I! BUT how could I resist these treasures...all of these items came from Tim's grand father and great grandfather's old family store, Masser's store in Hegins.
An old wooden Jell-O box, a little metal scoop, two wire letter baskets and old store price tags.

I love these baskets!

How cool are these old store price tags?

an old barrel, minus the lid

the barrel held coffee..Gerhart's coffee from Lancaster, Pa

I am using one of the wire baskets on our coffee table

It is holding old family pictures, old letters and old cards.

~~crafting on the porch~~

We are having the most amazing day today..the weather is PERFECT! So instead of being stuck in the house working on orders for our customers, I decided to move my craft room onto our porch.

Howie decided to take in a little porch sitting.

And Cricket decided to take a nap!

~~Busy Summer~~

I tried something new this weekend...I painted some mason jars...well not some (yet!)...just this one! But I will be painting SOME more! I just need to find time to do it...not sure if your summer is a busy one but mine sure is busy! I wish I could be busy crafting all day instead of doing yardwork, housework and all those other boring chores!

Tim and I are getting ready for the Summer Craft & Wine Festival at Armstrong Valley Winery. We have so much to do this week to get ready, we are hoping to unveil something NEW...hopefully we will get it done in time for the Festival..stay tuned! And I hope to get more of these jars painted. We would love to have you visit us at the Festival this weekend (July 13 & 14)...so if you are in our neck of the woods come on over to the Festival and stop by our booth and see what is new!

We're Back!

WOW! I cannot believe that the last time we blogged was in the Spring. Here it is the end of June....we apologize for not being better bloggers. Tim and I have been SO BUSY..busy with so much lately! One thing that is keeping us busy is... Tim's mom is moving out of her old/big farmhouse that she has lived in for the last 50plus years. She is moving into a much smaller home, so we our busy helping her with the move and also getting ready for a public sale at her old home in October. On top of that, Tim and I are preparing for the Summer Festival at Armstrong Valley Winery on July 13 & 14 and the Fall Festival September 28 & 29. . Tim and I were given the wonderful opportunity to organized the three Festivals at the Winery. We had our Spring Festival on Mother's Day weekend. The festivals are a two day event, Saturday and Sunday. Well, Saturday of that weekend we had a very rainy, at times not just rainy but major downpours. Then Sunday the sun came out but so did the winds..lots of wind! But despite the weather conditions it was a great weekend. We are so looking forward to the Summer Festival, hopefully no rain or wind this time!  SO if you are in our neck of the woods we would love to have you stop by the Festival...it will be at Armstrong Valley Winery, 212 Rutter Road, Halifax, PA.
The Brickhouse Craft Shop has some new vendors/crafters and we will introduce you and show off their talent in the next couple of weeks...so please stop by our blog again. We PROMISE to blog more often! If you are on Facebook please stop by our FB page;  https://www.facebook.com/brickhousecraftshop
 Have a great weekend everyone!

Our cement hearts and a baby shoe with a little bird nest and eggs.
