Tim and I hope you all had a nice 4th of July. It was a busy weekend at the Brickhouse...we had a new customer stop by on Thursday and we weren't even open! But we opened for her and she was so nice. We love meeting new people! Friday in the shop was like the day before Christmas...we were SO BUSY! It was great! Some of our regular customers stopped by on Friday..it is always nice seeing our friends/customers stop by...we start to miss them when we don't see them for awhile! And it is nice to meet our new customers! Then yesterday morning we had a call from one of our regular customers..her daughter was visiting and they wanted to see if we were open..we weren't but I told them to come on over...we opened for them! It is so nice having the Shop next to our home and being able to open anytime.
We are starting to think ahead to Christmas...ONLY 5 more months! I placed some orders yesterday for new items for our Shop. I ordered through a couple of our wonderful crafters, April and Tony, and Becca, AND our special friend/crafter Teresa is working on some great crafts. We also found some NEW crafters and I placed some orders with them...We are excited about getting some new goodies for our shop! Friday night Tarrah, the lovely wife of Bob the Potter, stopped by with some new pieces that Bob created...WONDERFUL pieces of Pottery. I am tempted to buy some of them for myself! Tim and I love his pottery.If you are reading this and you are in our neighborhood please stop by The Brickhouse and see the new pottery!
Make sure you stop by our blog again, we are going to feature Bob the Potter on the "Porch"! He is so talented and so is Tarrah....she showed us a picture of a penny rug table runner that she created! Let me tell you she is so TALENTED, too! Tim and I are trying to talk her in to opening a craft shop in her hometown...We know she would do great, between the Pottery and her creations..wow! If or WHEN she decides to have a Shop of her own you can bet we will be bragging about it!

Tim has been busy making birdhouses and he is way ahead of me, so I need to lock myself in the craft room today and paint, paint, paint!
The Church birdhouse that Tim designed is selling as fast as he can make them! SO proud of him! We are also working on some new designs..so stop by The Brickhouse and see what we have to offer! And while you are visiting our shop make sure you spend some time PORCH SITTING....the flowers around the porch are blooming and the hummingbirds and butterflies have been visiting the Porch...so stop by and say hi and enjoy the view.

Where are you located? I was down in Millersburg last Wednesday (after the Hometown Farmer's Market) but couldn't seem to find you guys. Would love to stop in another time to meet you guys and check out all your goodies and 'sit a spell' and chat.
Hi Patti! Thanks for your very kind words...you and Tim are so nice, and yes I am truely excited to have my own shop someday....so pass on any great tips you have for me. Hopefully I can get this blogging account worked out here soon and have that going.
Tell Tim that I LOVE my star birdhouse and can't wait to get my church one now.....so excited...they are terrific!
