Wish Upon a Star

I wish it was Spring! We had more snow yesterday and last night and I am so ready for Spring.
My geranium that I overwintered has started to bloom...so I do have a bit of Spring in the house!

Yesterday Tim and I had to run some errands and when we came home we pulled into our driveway and we noticed we had a little visitor..No it sure wasn't A SPRING Chicken but a rooster! Not sure where he came from but it was funny seeing him strutting around.

Tim and I have been busy making lots of new goodies for our customers. As soon as the weather is warmer we are looking forward to opening up the porch of The Shop to display all the new items. We are working on birdhouses and lighted houses and churches. I also have lots of signs that I painted.

May you all find a little Spring time surprise today. Hang in there..only 31 more days till Spring.

OPEN for Business

For all our customers...The Brickhouse Craft Shop is open today, and also Saturday and Sunday. If you do not see our sign do not fret..we are OPEN...the snow is causing a problem with our little sign! Time to get the permanant sign up and with the way this winter has been in Central PA..we are thinking about a BILLBOARD! So PLEASE stop by the Shop and say hi. I am putting out the Easter goodies today...time for a touch of Spring!
I am sorry that I am not including pictures on this post but we got a new computer and I am still learning my way around it. So when Tim comes home tonight I will have him help me with the pictures. I have some nice hearts that Miss Beryl made for the Shop and I want to show them off here on the blog ...so stop by our blog again to see them OR better yet stop by the Brickhouse and see them in person.
I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the wonderful crafters....or I really should say FRIENDS of The Brickhouse Craft Shop....You ALL are amazing people not only with your talents but with the friendship you have shown to me. You are always there when I need to talk and with a shoulder to cry on and you all make me laugh and feel good about myself. I treasure the friendship and I look forward to many years with you.
About a year ago we started this blog and I had no idea how it would turn out but I must say Tim and I are enjoying the blogging world and all the wonderful people we have met in blogland. I recently came to know some fellow Shop owners and it is so nice sharing ideas and sharing crafters (Right Darrell? LOL)
Well, the time has come where I need to go out and open the Shop....so stop by The Brickhouse this weekend we would love to see you.
One more thing..call me crazy but I am thinking about starting another blog....Tim and I will continue to do this blog. But I want to have my own blog...a blog to share what I am doing with our home....like redocorating and things like that. We want to keep this blog focused on the Shop but I have a yearning to do another blog....so stayed tuned!

No more Porch Sitting

No more porch sitting until Spring! We have a nice little winter wonderland here at our home in PA. It is a nice day to be snowed in and look out the windows and enjoy the beauty of the snow. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and you are all home and cozy with your families.

Snow Panic Day!

If you live along the East Coast or here in Central PA today is SNOW PANIC DAY! Yes, today is the day you need to prepare for this weekend's upcoming snowstorm. Make sure you are stocked up with MBTP (milk bread toilet paper)!!!!


The other day I posted pictures of a beautiful sunset that we experienced here at our home. Well we were blessed with a beautiful full moon the other evening.







We have an infestation of mice in the Shop...I am not planning on calling the exterminator though..I need to call my customers to have them stop by and see how cute these mice are! I was able to take some pictures to share with you..here they are:

Howie UPDATE

Just got off the phone with Howie's Doctor. He does not have CA like the Doc first thought. Biopsy showed no Cancer. What he does have is Panniculitis...an inflammation of the subcutaneous (underneath the skin) fat tissue. Doc said what Howie has is a severe and aggressive form of this disease. It is affecting his immune system. I will be taking him back to the Vet's for culture to test for Bacteria or Fungi...then we decide on treatment. SO it looks like Howie will be ok...I hope! The Doc was sure that he had CA...I need to ask her why when she aspirated the lump that it showed CA cells.??? She told me that it is a rare disease in dogs. SO Howie who has never been sick now gets a rare disease...I am just so thankful that it is not CA..but now we face a long road ahead of us treating this disease. Poor Howie is still not feeling that great. I can't wait till we have our old crazy happy dog back. SO in the meantime I guess I will continue to spoil him! He still is being very picky about what he eats...turns his nose up at foods that he normally loves. So back to cooking chicken for him or maybe order him a pizza to be delivered...yea that sounds like a good idea for tonights dinner!

update

I want to thank everyone for the nice comments and the emails regarding Howie. We are still waiting to hear the results of the biopsy. Howie had a great appetite up until Saturday when he became very picky. He decided he likes roasted chicken and will eat only that...so I have been roasting chicken for him. SPOILED DOG! Other then his weird appetite he seems to be his old self just a little slower getting around.

On Thursday our old laptop finally crashed for good. So on Saturday we got a new one and had it all set up on Sunday thanks to Uncle John and Jenn! I was going through serious withdrawal issues not having my computer for a couple of days! But I am back online with a brand new laptop and I love it.

The other evening we had amazing sunset. I grabbed my camera and snap some pictures. It was so beautiful. After I finished taking the pictures I was walking back to the house when I saw the sunset reflected in our kitchen door!

I have more pictures to share BUT I can't get them uploaded from my camera to the laptop....I still have a lot to learn with this new computer!

I have a lot that I want to get accomplished this week. I have orders to work on for the Shop and I just ordered new stencils so I want to paint and stencil signs this week. AND I want to figure out how to get my pictures on the computer so that my blog isn't as boring as this post is! AND if you are in our neck of the woods PLEASE stop by The Brickhouse Craft Shop. We have been getting new things in almost weekly and the goodies don't last long in the Shop. The doll holding the pie with the oven mitts in a previous post lasted only a couple of days in the Shop. It has found a new home with our good friend, Danelle, who almost knocked down the door to the Shop to get to that doll after she saw it pictured on our blog! We love when Danelle and Ray visit our Shop...always so much fun talking and laughing with them! I told Danelle and I will tell all of you...if you see something on our blog and you want it..just let me know..call me or email me and I will hold it for you at the Shop. I am sorry but I do not sell items from this blog so if you see something you like you HAVE to stop by The Brickhouse Craft Shop in Millersburg...we would love to meet you.
