Lighten up!

Good Morning. After a dreary and very rainy day yesterday, we woke up to sunshine.....sunshine but very high winds. Can someone tell be that Spring is RIGHT around the corner...PLEASE?!  I think if I had sunshine and warm weather I would feel better. Tim and I attended Ladies Night at Armstrong Valley Winery on Saturday night. We were there selling our "wares" to the lovely ladies that were there to shop and be pampered.


Our table at Ladies Night..we were still setting it up when I took this picture. Notice the Tasting Room sign? Not to brag but Tim and I made it for the winery. It was an honor to do it but I was a nervous wreck..I hate doing custom orders...but I am happy with how it turned out and thankfully so was the Winery :)

It was a really fun time...but I think I brought home a bug..yep a cold bug...grrrrr! Not feeling great and I am still debating if I will open the Shop today or just crawl back to bed.
 We made some changes in our Shop this year. We painted the walls of the Shop a white wash...no more dark walls. It is funny since we painted it customers have been asking us when we got the stove....this stove....


We had this stove since the day we opened..5 years ago!

 

I am guessing since we lightened up the walls of the Shop, "things" are "sticking" out more...like the stove. I am loving the new look...now if I could get Tim to allow me to paint the wood siding of the Shop..would LOVE to paint it a white wash...not sure if that is going to happen anytime soon ;)

I think the fireplace stands out more with the lighter walls.

 I was so tired of the dark prim look. Now don't get me wrong we will still have some prims in the Shop but not as much...we are adding some other "styles" of crafts...an ECLECTIC mix!

Here are some pictures of some new items that I have been creating for the Shop. I have a notebook full of new ideas of things that I want to create..so stay tuned...2013 is going to be an exciting year of changes at the Brickhouse!

Just stopping by to say hi. Can't believe that January is almost over..they say time flies when you are having fun....I didn't realize I was having THAT much fun! I am not complaining...glad to see the Winter fly by....can't wait till Spring!  I hope you all have a great day.....remember to always keep your face towards the sun....now if only the sun would shine today here in Central Pa. :)

Trying to stay warm from the heat of my glue gun

Well, Winter has finally arrived here in Central PA. It is SO COLD here today. I decided to NOT go outside today, instead I am staying warm next to my glue gun. Hope all of you are staying warm as well. Here are pictures of some things that I have been creating for our Shop.

Did a bit more crafting today...trying to come up with some new ideas for the Shop.

I wrapped twine around a candle. Once the candle is "done" this can be used as a vase. It stands 8 inches tall.

Thinking Spring? A clay pot filled with seeds, garden gloves and a bag filled with potting soil.

~~Good Morning. It is a COLD one here at the Brickhouse. Nothing like stepping on a cold floor in the morning to wake you up! Gotta love an old drafty house. Well Christmas is put away here in the house...not like we had a lot to put away since we didn't decorate a tree this year or did any decorating in the house..BUT we still have Christmas to put away in the Shop...not sure why I am putting th...at off but I really need to get it done...we will reopen the Shop on Jan 10th....I better get moving. Speaking of getting moving...time to get back to dippin' lights for the Shop...if you need lights just let me know. AND I need to get to tart making AND soap making...no I haven't made soap YET! Not sure why I am so nervous about trying it...but I will try it this week...wish me luck! :)   

 

 

  I did do some craftin' yesterday..the theme being bottles/jars.

  And I did some more crafting...our friend Marie of Simple Whimsy Design (check her out on Facebook) made these cute birds...I thought I would see how they would look on a "perch"...what do you think?
