Surf & Sand

I was looking for a new color for our Brickhouse lights and I was thinking about the Beach. So this morning I mixed some colors and came up with our new Surf & Sand Lights. What do you think...does it make you dream about being on the beach?

Weed or Flower?

I absolutely LOVE Queen Anne's Lace. You may think of it as a weed...but for me it is a beautiful flower. I have decided that today is Queen Anne's Lace Day...I hope you find the beauty in this flower as much as I do.

 

Legend has it that Queen Anne, the wife of King James I, was challenged by her friends to create lace as beautiful as a flower. While making the lace, she pricked her finger, and it’s said that the purple-red flower in the center of Queen Anne’s Lace represents a droplet of her blood.

A weed is but an unloved flower.

Cleaning House

Well, not the whole house, just my craft room. I really should take a picture of how it looks right now but I am not brave enough to show you what it looks like. Just picture this...our house was lifted up and shook around by a giant, and then placed back down. Get the picture? What a mess! Not sure if you are like me, BUT I can't craft/create when my house is a mess....so this week I am cleaning and organizing starting with the craft room.  I have 3 different work areas in my craft room: my painting area, the tart making area and the light dipping area; and they all need to be orginized.  This is going to take awhile...wish me luck!

How we spent our weekend.

 This past weekend we packed up some goodies from the Brickhouse and headed out to a Craft Show at  ARMSTRONG VALLEY WINERY.
